Clinic Information
Who Should Attend
The Matrix Basketball9th Annual Pre-Tryouts Clinics are being offered to girls to help them prepare for upcoming FCYBL tryouts.
All players are welcome to attend whether you live in Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington, Falls Church, Great Falls, McLean, or any other local area.
Age Groups
The clinics are offered to girls in grades 4-8.
Cost
The Matrix Pre-Tryouts Clinics are FREE!
Donations will be accepted, to help cover the clinic costs, and to also help provide scholarships for players in need of financial assistance to participate on Matrix spring AAU teams.
Clinic Focus
The clinics will focus on general, fundamental basketball skills and scrimmaging.
“Games” will include scrimmaging as well as a variety of other game-situation competitions.
Why 2 Days?
The Matrix offers 2 days of clinics to offer maximum flexibility to players so that they can work around their busy schedules to attend at least one day of clinics. However, players can attend as many of the 2 days as they like!
Who are Clinic Leaders? A variety of Matrix coaches will take the lead at the Pre-Tryouts Clinics. In addition, the lead coach each night will be supported at the Pre-Tryout Clinics by a number of Matrix coaches.

The dates of the clinic dates are as follows:
. Tuesday, September 27 at Swanson MS in Arlington
.Wednesday, September 28 at Kenmore MS in Arlington
Times
The times for the clinics are as follows:
. Grades 4-6 from 6:15-7:45 . Grades 7-8 from 7:45-9:15

While the cost is free, we are requesting that players pre-register as it will help us in planning for the clinics.

Continuous, year-round repetition of both basic and advanced basketball skills, with adequate guidance, is the best way to improve as a basketball player.The MatrixNext Level Training Series is designed to: 1) pair qualified and experienced basketball trainers and coaches with players who are serious about becoming better basketball players, 2) provide appropriate skills training opportunities to players with a variety of skill levels, and 3) motivate players to continue to take their games to “the next level” throughout the year.
